Fund Manager
Mr. Vishal Goradia brings over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong track record across proprietary trading, treasury management, and multi-asset portfolio management. As Fund Manager of the Aikyam India Discovery Fund (AIDF), Vishal draws on deep expertise in equities, fixed income, and currencies, honed through senior roles at Edelweiss Financial Services. He has managed large, multi-asset proprietary portfolios across Indian and global markets, including a US$700 Mn global currency book and a US$250 million fixed income portfolio. In addition to his trading expertise, Vishal has led balance sheet management at one of India’s leading financial services firms, where he was responsible for fundraising and actively engaged in strategic relationship-building with lenders, rating agencies, and regulators. This hands-on experience has equipped him with a strong understanding of corporate balance sheets and credit dynamics, critical capabilities in both equity and fixed income investing. Vishal holds an Executive MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB) and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), reflecting his commitment to professional excellence in investment management. At Aikyam, Vishal’s strategic thinking, analytical rigour, and multi-asset experience position him to actively manage portfolios with a focus on optimizing risk-adjusted returns while aligning with long-term investor objectives. His background in building and scaling investment platforms supports Aikyam’s expansion into thematic, multi-asset, and factor-based strategies in line with evolving market cycles and investor demand.
