As a full time investor he brings with him 28 years of experience in stock market investing. He is a commerce graduate from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata and is a Cost Accountant. He has had a history of finding several multi-bagger stocks over the past decade, prominent one’s being Pantaloon Retail, Page Industries, Titan Industries, Hawkins Cooker, Gruh Finance, Repco Home Finance, Canfin Homes, Bajaj Finance and Avenue Supermarts. He is also an author of the bestseller book “The Thoughtful Investor”- A Journey to Financial Freedom through stock market investing. In 2006, he found an online portal www.theequitydesk.com a platform where investors discussed investing ideas and thoughts. From 2011 to 2015, he ran a very successful stock advisory services firm titled “Basant’s Corner” which had over 500 subscribers. Since February 2016, he has been working as a Co-founder and Fund Manager at Basant Maheshwari Wealth Advisers LLP, a SEBI registered Portfolio Management Service (PMS). The fund has assets under management of more than 300 crores and has received various accolades and awards for its superlative performance.
