Bellwether Capital was established in April 2004 as a Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) registered Equity Portfolio Manager. The investment management firm was founded by two professionals from the financial services industry, Ranjit Dongre (ex-Rothschild) and Miten Mehta (ex-Credit Suisse), who between them have almost 50 years of experience. The two founders of the business own the private limited company in equal parts. Bellwether Capital is engaged in the business of managing equity portfolios for private clients and their families.The nature of clientele is not restricted to ultra high net worth families, although we do have a few on the roster, but is more slanted to our own professional backgrounds.Hence, the majority of our clients are highly upwardly mobile professionals, medium sized businessmen,professionals who started business ventures and have exited and retired folks.The idea was to service this under banked segment,with the caliber and scale of a big investment house, albeit with a highly client oriented and boutique approach.
