Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Anand Trivedi is a Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Nepean Capital. He has over 24 years of experience in the Indian and Asian financial industry, of which 16 years were spent investing in public and private markets His last role was Managing Director & Head of GE Private Equity in India investing primarily in Indian Mid Caps with strong growth potential. Prior to GE, he spent several years in Hong Kong as a fund manager with Nicholas Applegate Capital Management investing in India and Asia. He later worked in the Equity Capital Markets teams at Lehman Brothers (Hong Kong) and ABN AMRO Rothschild (Hong Kong). Anand also ran Principal Investments at Shinsei Bank in India. He has strong corporate experience having worked for 4 years in the Corporate Finance and M&A team at Reliance Industries Ltd. Anand sits on the board of Extramarks Eductions India Pvt. Ltd. and UFO Moviez India Ltd. He has previously served as a Board observer on various investee companies, namely Sygene Ltd., Control & Switchgears Ltd., Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., Sudhir Gensets Ltd. & Oriental Structural Engineers Ltd. Anand graduated from Columbia Business School with an MBA and has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Mumbai University.

Gautam Trivedi is a Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Nepean Capital. He has over 26 years of experience in the Indian and Asian financial industry. In his last role, he was the CEO of Religare Capital Markets, one of India's leading domestic Investment Banks. There he pioneered 'The Great India Roadtrips' that conducted channel checks across in Tier 2 & 3 towns and villages. Before joining Religare, Gautam was a Managing Director and Head of Equity Distribution at Goldman Sachs India; he served on the board of Goldman Sachs India Private Limited. He moved to India from Goldman Sachs (Hong Kong) where he was an Executive Director in the Asian Equities team. Gautam spent 4 years in the Corporate Finance and M&A team at Reliance Industries Ltd, India's largest company by market cap. He has also worked at DSP Merrill Lynch, CLSA Asia and Jardine Fleming (Hong Kong).Gautam graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with an MBA and has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Mumbai University. He is also an Aspen Institute fellow and is the President of the USC Marshall Alumni Association of Mumbai. He sits on the boards of Collective Artist Networks, Extramarks Education India Pvt. Ltd., Landmark Cars Ltd., Maddock Films and UFO Moviez India Ltd. Gautam also sits on the India Advisory Board of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.  He is an avid traveler and enjoys penning his experiences in travelogues.
