His experience spans various real estate financing structures, including equity, mezzanine, structured debt, construction finance, inventory funding, and acquisition finance, across residential, retail, and commercial asset classes.
Mr Darshan Engineer Fund Manager
With over sixteen years of experience in the financial markets, including fourteen in equities and two in credit ratings, Darshan Engineer is a seasoned investment specialist. His professional journey encompasses prominent Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) platforms, such as Alchemy Capital, Karma Capital, and Valuequest, where he has primarily focused on small and mid-cap investment strategies.
Darshan is recognized for his robust bottom-up research methodology, complemented by extensive sector-specific knowledge in consumer discretionary, automotive and auto ancillaries, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and information technology. Currently, Manoj oversees SA's real estate credit fund allocations within the Bengaluru metropolitan area. Previously, he contributed to the corporate real estate funding divisions at Kotak Mahindra Investments Limited, where he managed assets exceeding $240 million, and at JM Financial. In these roles, he addressed the project finance requirements of prominent developers in Bengaluru, Chennai, and the Mumbai region, managing an aggregate exposure of over $600 million. His earlier career includes a five-year tenure as Manager – Capital Markets at Jones Lang LaSalle.
Mr P. Sudhakar Fund Manager
Mr. P. Sudhakar possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and brings two decades of comprehensive experience in corporate credit and credit risk assessment. His specialized knowledge is particularly noted in the financial services sector, with over 12 years dedicated to rating banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). He has accumulated 16 years of overall credit rating experience at a prominent Indian rating agency. His professional tenure encompasses the credit risk assessment of mid-tier and large corporate entities across the manufacturing, infrastructure, services, and BFSI industries. Mr. Sudhakar has significantly contributed to the formulation of rating policies, models, and methodologies for banks and NBFCs through his active participation in rating committees, criteria review committees, and sector specialist teams. Prior to his current fund management role, he held a leadership position at ING Vysya Bank Ltd., where he was responsible for credit operations within the business banking division. Mr. Vaatsal Tandon Fund Manager
Vaatsal brings approximately 12 years of extensive experience in financial services, encompassing investment banking, investment management, corporate banking, credit analysis, and deal structuring. He has held positions at JM Financial and Arka Fincap Limited, where his contributions were vital in transaction origination, underwriting, analysis, portfolio monitoring, and successful exits, resulting in stakeholder returns of approximately 13-16%.
Before assuming his current responsibilities, Vaatsal was a key member of the team at Arka Fincap Limited. He was associated with the firm from its inception and played a pivotal role in expanding Arka’s corporate lending portfolio from its nascent stages to approximately $200 million within a five-year period. His responsibilities included sourcing transactions, conducting credit underwriting, and structuring debt instruments such as loans and Non-Convertible Debentures for small and mid-sized corporates, as well as Non-Banking Financial Companies. The portfolio under his purview maintained a zero-default record and achieved an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of approximately 14%.
